On February 8-9, 2025, The Japan Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons held The International Civil Society Forum to Abolish Nuclear Weapons – 80 Years after the Atomic Bombings at the University of the Sacred Heart in Hiroo, Tokyo, and we published the digest video, featuring this event.

Inviting more than 90 experts, scholars, policymakers, hibakushas, and citizens worldwide, the Forum drew 600 participants on-site and approximately 300 participants online, for a total of approximately 900 participants over the two days, and ended with a big success.
This Forum became a platform for many citizens to learn about various topics from broad perspectives and exchange discussions actively. Based on the dialogues through the Forum, guest members and citizens contributed to producing recommendations, which were submitted to the third Meeting of States Parties to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TNPW) held 3-7 March 2025.
