Appearance: “Children Left Behind by the Atomic Bomb: Postwar Years of Atomic Bomb Microcephaly Survivors and Their Families” (February 9, 14:45-16:00, Room 215)

Born in Hiroshima in 1986. As a video reporter for Chugoku Broadcasting, a commercial broadcaster in Hiroshima, Hirao began covering Atomic Bomb Microcephaly in 1991. While continuing his reporting activities, he participated in the support activities of the Kinoko Kai in 1996 and was appointed Executive Director in 2009. In 2024, he retired from Chugoku Broadcasting and entered the doctoral program at Hiroshima University Graduate School.
