Senior Advocacy Officer, Japan NGO Center for International Cooperation (JANIC), in charge of the NGO side of the “Coordination and Promotion Committee” of the Non-Governmental Organizations Cooperation Division, advocacy on SDGs formulation and implementation, disaster prevention and mitigation, and coordination with international NGO networks, et cetera. Horiuchi served as the Co-Secretary of the Civil Society Platform for the 2016 G7 Ise-Shima Summit, the 2019 Osaka G20 Summit, and the 2023 G7 Hiroshima Summit, where he encouraged advocacy by civil society at home and abroad.
