SUZUKI Tatsujiro

Professor, Research Center for Nuclear Weapons Abolition (RECNA) at Nagasaki University

Born in 1951, Suzuki received a Bachelors degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Tokyo in 1975, and a Masters degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1978. After receiving a Doctorate degree in Engineering (University of Tokyo), he served as a Vice Chairman of Japan Atomic Energy Commission (JAEC) of the Cabinet office from January 2010 to March 2014. He continues to serve as a council member of the Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs, a group of scientists working to eradicate nuclear weapons and war.
