TAKAHASHI Yuta
President, Katawara
Born in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima in 2000. From the first year of junior high school, Takahashi met hibakusha through club activities. After graduating from university, he made peacemaking his career. Through Katawara, he has traveled to the G7 Citizens' Assembly in Italy and to the United Nations Summit of the Future. He stressed the connection between nuclear weapons and the SDGs and the meaning of youth participation. Takahashi also serves as Co-chair of Kakuwaka Hiroshima. He worked for the preparatory process in 2023 to launch the Japan Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons. Also he serves as a Coordinator of the Japan NGO Network for Nuclear Weapons Abolition.
