Global Hibakusha and Victim Assistance: Learning Nuclear Legacies in the Pacific
In addition to the A-bomb survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, there are Hibakusha around the world who have suffered from nuclear damage such as through nuclear tests. Articles 6 and 7 of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) require States Parties to provide assistance to those people.
This session will be joined by speakers from the affected communities to understand the realities of nuclear legacies spreading globally and to discuss how we can provide assistance to those affected.
