HAYASHIDA Mitsuhiro
Nagasaki Coordinator, Japan Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons
Director, Peace Education Lab Nagasaki. President, LLC mazatte. Born in Urakami, Nagasaki. Graduated from Meiji Gakuin University, Faculty of International Studies. He led Hibakusha Appeal International Signature Campaign, which collected 13.7 million signatures worldwide from 2016 to 2020. From 2021 to 2023, Hayashida served as a specially-appointed researcher at the Research Center for Nuclear Weapons Abolition, Nagasaki University, where he worked on creating a digital archive and teaching materials to convey the reality of the atomic bomb survivors. Recently, he has been involved in the management of the “Peace-preneur Forum” and in the production of the “Global Citizen Fest” in Nagasaki. In December 2024, he attended the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo as a member of Nihon Hidankyo's official delegation.
